The Fire Cape is the second best-in-slot melee cape in-game, outclassed only by the Infernal Cape. It is a reward obtained after defeating the boss TzTok-Jad, who is one of the hardest bosses in all of OSRS, with a combat level of 702. If you die at the same time as the final boss or log out before successfully exiting the cave, then the game will recognize it as a failure. The only way to freely roam around the city of Mor Ul Rek is by showing the Fire Cape to the Tzhaar-Ket Guards. The item can also break upon death, so to repair it, you’ll have to speak to Perdu with 50,000 gold coins in your inventory.

Facts

• The only cape that surpasses the Fire Cape is the Infernal Cape.
• You can display the Fire Cape at your POH (Player-Owned House) to show your achievement at the Fight Caves.
• If you don’t wish to keep the cape or if you want a chance to obtain a Tzrek-Jad pet, then you can sell it to TzHaar-Mej-Jal.
• If you use an item on the FIre Cape, an in-game message will pop up stating “That doesn’t seem to do what you want it to.” This is weird because it generally states “Nothing interesting happens.”
